Weekly beauty review

While I was thinking about what to post next, I noticed that every week I purchase some beauty products for fun. So then I thought, why not post about my experiences with them?

So now here it is!

IMG_2568

Fist let’s start with the masks. I don’t really know this brand, but when I see the word hyaluronic, I immediately take a second look. This mask is really nice, it has a little bit tingly feeling when on your face and works wonders. I recommend it fully!

img_2567.jpg

Another mask this time from Garnier. I heard about this mask, so I decided to try it out and honestly, it was a very nice experience. It hydrated my skin very well and my skin felt great afterward. The only thing I would advice against is putting anything on your skin after using the mask. Because I did and it was not a good idea. It made my skin very oily, so after you’re done with this mask, just leave your skin be and go to bed.

img_2569.jpg

During wintertime my skin is very dry due to the weather and also due to showering with extreme hot water…duh! So I decided to try a real classic in lotions. I love the smell of original Nivea, but to be honest I wasn’t very satisfied. It is very oily and leaves an oily feeling on my skin as well. After the oily feeling rubs off, my skin is very soft like a baby’s butt. But then, the next day when I finish my shower and if I don’t moisturize, my skin feels very dry, especially around my elbow area. So I kind of stopped using it… 😦

img_2572.jpg

To be 100% honest I totally bought this item because I loved the tiny pink bubbles in it. LOL It’s actually a primer with glowy effect. It’s very light and I’m not sure it really does anything, but the texture is very light, so not too much under foundation. And it’s so pretty!!!

IMG_2570

I wanted to try this nail polish for a while now and it was time to do so. It’s not a nail polish in the traditional sense, since you can see these are little glitter-kind-if-things that stay on your nails. I liked it a lot, because my nails are very thin and cannot really hold any nail polish even for a day. But this totally stayed on and I was able to put another coat and another coat on my nails and looked good for several days. The problem came when I had to take it off…. So forget nail polish remover… I had to scratch it off and it wasn’t fun! BUT it looked good, stayed on, so I guess there’s no reward without work.

Let me know in the comment section if you tried any of these products and how you liked them!

Happy Women’s Day!

Today is a day for us women! It’s not about anything else than celebrating being a woman and believe me, that is reason enough to celebrate. We get to dress colourfully, flirty, masculine, sexy, comfy, get to wear makeup or not and feel beautiful doing all of it. So this post is dedicated to all women out there. Be brave, be strong and be yourself!

I really wanted to show you one of my favourite shirt dress and while I was getting ready to go to a botanic garden walk I noticed that for some reason all my pieces were blue. So I guess it is National Dress in Blue Day! LOL

Although it’s still early to see flowers out in the garden, we managed to find some places to take photos and see some wonderful things in nature. I hope you enjoy this unconventional photo shoot (due to my addiction to city life, this might not be a regular scenery, LOL).

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetIMG_2549IMG_2551IMG_2552IMG_2482IMG_2553

In these pictures I’m wearing jeans, shirt dress, coat, bag and shoes from Zara (different collections), ring from H&M, watch from Michael Kors. I’m wearing NYC lipstain.

Do you like nature inspired or city inspired posts more?

The sun is out and so am I!

Yess!! The sun came out, seriously, for the first time in weeks and I have to say, that in spite of my dislike of summer, I love spring sun and these first few warm weeks. You probably don’t know yet, but I love bomber jackets and I have a few (green, pink, brown, one with flower pattern, one with bird pattern, etc.) and I just recently got my hands on a new one. You probably say, ‘but why another one?’, well this one is totally different from the others (No, it’s not) because it’s long! You see, totally makes sense.

Another favourite item I purchased during the sale that I couldn’t wait to wear is my beautiful dark blue velvet shoes. They were so comfy (because we were driving everywhere and not walking 8-10 miles like I usually do on a daily basis), so I think I can pull them off anytime I need a cute pair of shoes with heels that are also comfortable. Yay! Totally nailed this purchase! LOL

But let’s get down to business, here are all the pictures we took at the East Train station in Budapest. This hall was renovated a few years ago and I kind of like it. And pay attention to a fake bird on one picture (can you spot it?).

On these photos I’m wearing jeans, top, bomber jacket, shoes and bag from Zara (I know, I have a problem) and Gucci sunglasses.

What is your go to jacket when spring comes? Let me know in the comments!

Luxury lipstick test

In my previous post about luxury make ups I said that I would dedicate a whole post to luxury lipsticks as I collected quite a few over the past year, so here it is.

img_1754

img_1771

Urban Decay – Oblivion ($17)

This lipstick is the BOMB! I love it so much! It’s truly matte, and although it looks like a dark nude colour, on lips it turns into a darker, purple-ish matte lipstick that’s not drying and super long lasting. So make sure you check out some Urban Decay colours here.

img_1756

MAC Matte Strip Poker – Limited Edition

This lipstick was a part of Kelly Osbourne’s limited collection and I bought it because that time matte lipstick was totally rare and unique. It is a great lipstick although might be a little too bright for my skin, meaning that it makes my lips disappear (yes, at that time I didn’t know how to pick a nude lipstick, I thought the lighter the better…). I usually use it for ombre lips or put on just a little and blend it, because it’s long lasting either way.

img_1763

MAC Satin Myth – ($17)

I didn’t give up on the nude lipstick hunt, but as you can see I kind of bought almost the same shade over again. LOL I use it the same way I use the other and I have to say it is a great quality lipstick which you can still purchase here.

img_1759

MAC Cremesheen Coral Bliss – ($17)

Yea, I have a few MAC lipstick, but let’s be honest, they are great. This one is a perfect coral colour for spring and summer. Not too bright, little shimmery and very hydrating. You can still purchase it here.

img_1758

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 42 L’éclatante –  ($37)

This was my first really expensive lipstick I bought and I had mixed feelings about it. The colour is perfection, the perfect shade of pink for the summer. It is a matte lipstick but my only concern is that it’s not that hydrating and it doesn’t cover your lips fully, so after a while I could see my lips getting a little chipped. It can also be on my part that I should have hydrated my lips before, but I kind of thought this lipstick would do all that for me. LOL. Anyways, I love the colour and the packaging as well. You can order it here.

img_1752

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo 208 Roman – ($37)

This is a very pigmented, hydrating lipstick. The only downside is that it’s not too long lasting, so make sure if you use this, you check your lipstick from time to time and correct it if necessary. Get it here.

img_1769img_1770

img_1767img_1768

Dior Addict 266 Delight, Dior Addict 554 It Pink  ($35)

The Dior Addict lipstick is a gorgeous lipstick, it’s super hydrating and it gives a subtle but beautiful colour to your lips. The packaging is so chic and pretty, doesn’t really have a smell but it’s just so fancy. I recommend it if you want to have a subtle pink shade to your lips in the upcoming spring. You can check out all the colour here.

img_1774img_1775

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour – Flesh Stone ($21)

I saved the best for last! This Mac liquid lip colour is hands down the best I used (except maybe for Sephora’s lip stains). It is super long lasting, very light on the lips and the colour is just perfection. It’s so easy to apply and really stays on even after you eat. The price is affordable, so make sure you get it here.

Let me know what are your favourite lipsticks so I can try them out! 🙂

Winter Wonderland, Poland

One of the things I really love about winter is the sports. I love skating and skiing so much, but I only got to go skiing in the past few years. Ever since we started going I’ve been very excited for this time of year and because not much else is happening in January and February except the winter Zara sale. LOL

So here’s a recap of our trip to beautiful Zakopane, Poland, which happens to be one of the most amazing places for skiing and for cheap shopping and eating.

In these pictures you can see how truly beautiful this city is! The mountains, the snow, the slopes. It’s just a postcard, that’s it.

We went on the trip with some of our friends and this is the only picture we have of the 6 of us. And the way I made it…I put my phone on top of a mud pile and set it for a 10 second timer and tried to smile while I couldn’t see a things on the screen. But it still turned out great, didn’t it? LOL

img_2165

No matter what I do or where I am, I try to be as stylish as possible and the ski slopes are no exception. So here I am, styling it up on the snow. LOL

img_2169

Wearing my brand new Gucci sunglasses, my Zara hat, Mac lipstick, Mango sweater and coat and Promod gloves, which are so not practical for winter sports as they are suede, but I didn’t have time to get proper ski gloves, so that’s a task for next year.

img_2182

Here you can check out the whole outfit with the ski pants from Tschibo and I switched the glasses to my mirrored Ray-Ban. But enough of me, look at those gorgeous mountains!!

img_2217

Ok, so here’s a close up of my Ray-Ban glasses and yes, I have a new fur hat which I absolutely adore. It is so chic and warm and the perfect for my winter outfits.

img_2237

On our way back home we stopped to take some photos at this beautiful scenery in Slovakia, where the snow was almost untouched and I could premier my new Zara sweater with the furry sleeves, plus the famous fur hat and Gucci sunglasses.

img_2221

I’m gonna end this post with this gorgeous sunset photo from the ski slopes that just looked breathtaking and I cannot wait to go back. Do you like to ski? Or any other winter sport? Let me know in the comments!

Luxury make-up test

Previously I made a post about drug store make-up products that I really like, but I have to be frank with you guys, I got my hands on some luxury brand make-up products over the last few years and they are just as precious to my heart. Since I have quite a few lipsticks I decided to make a whole new post about just those, so stay tuned. So here are some of my favourites.

img_1737

MAC Strobe cream hydratant lumineux ($12)

This is a MAC primer that makes your skin look flawless and I absolutely love it. This to-go package is very affordable ($12) and you can get it here.

img_1735

Chanel Les Beiges ($60)

I have two Chanel foundations and this one is my favourite. It is light, has hyaluronic acid in it which makes the tiny wrinkles disappear. It also has SPF 25, so it protects your skin from harmful sun rays. And on top of it all, it smells incredible. It’s not a high coverage foundation, but it gives a healthy glow and for me it’s perfect, not too heavy, not too light. I highly recommend it! You can get it here.

img_1736

Chanel Perfection Lumiére velvet ($50)

Another Chanel foundation that is a whole lot different than the previous one. It has more coverage and a very interesting texture. It gives a matte finish without any powder, but it’s not that moisturizing than the Les Beiges one, so you definitely need a primer under this one. It also has an SPF 15, but I would recommend a higher SPF moisturizer under it. It does have a nice smell and better coverage than the other. Order here.

img_1746

Dior Fix It ($36)

This product was one of my dream to get my hands on. It is a primer, concealer all in one which you can use on your eyes, lips and face. So convenient and so easy to use. I can only recommend this! Really! Not much more to say but the fact that this is used on supermodels at the Dior runway show before they go on the catwalk. Enough said! Order here.

img_1750

MAC Blot powder/pressed ($27)

This is a pretty standard powder that controls oil, since I have an oily T-zone as most of us do, it’s perfect for that. It’s transparent and not too heavy. Get it here.

img_1740

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks – colour Pale Pink ($30)

This magical thing was one of the first purchases of luxury products of mine. I wanted a creamy blush because I felt like I could work with that better than a powder blush so it was an added bonus that I could also use it for a lip tint. I couldn’t find the exact same product, but this might be it with a new design.

img_1738

Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color – Ombre cream satinee ($25)

This was another dream product of mine. I wasted to have that summer, shimmering, peachy look all the magazine girls had but without it being sticky and this is the perfect product for that. I mean it, if you want that wet-look, this is the one product you need to have. And it lasts all day without creasing! Get it here!

img_1741

Estée Lauder New Dimension Shape + Skulpt Eye Kit ($40)

A whole palette, I thought it would save me so much time and effort…Well, unfortunately I was wrong. I love this brand, because I use their moisturizers, but to be honest this was a big disappointment. There is a primer on the left, a shimmering creamy shadow in the middle and a creasing brown powder like product on the right. Even if I use the primer or try a powder eye shadow under it, the middle eye shadow creases within minutes of putting it on. And the left brown powder is just not that easy to get in this brush, but will not work with other brushes. Even thought it looks beautiful when I put it on, minutes later I have to fix it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it does not work for me. 😦

img_1744

Sephora Colorful Shadow & Liner ($14)

I don’t know if Sephora is considered a luxury product, but I’m gonna put it here, because I really like their stuff. This eye shadow and line is really worth its price. It shimmers, very pigmented and stays on all day. Get one yourself here!

img_1749

Ka-Brow! ($24)

We live in a world where eyebrows and more important than ever and I thank my lucky star that I never had to really shape them, so now I just have to fill them out a little and I’m good to go. I tried brow pencils as well, but this is a genius product. Easy to use, lasts a very long time and comes with its own brush. They have other products you can use on your eyebrows, so check them out here.

img_1742

Diorshow Iconic Overcurl ($29.50)

This mascara is a must in my book. The first time I tried Diorshow was from a magazine sample and I knew this was it! I have a lot of eyelashes, but since I dark blonde, they need a little help to be visible. So this mascara make them full, long and black as the night. It stays on, doesn’t come off and makes your lashes look gorgeous. Get it here.

img_1747

Dior Nide Air Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder – 002 Glowing nude

I saved the best for last. This highlighter is a dream. Like seriously. It comes with a gorgeous velvet case and a cute kabuki brush to make it even more fancy. It shimmers just the right amount stays on all day and the color is just perfection. It was a fortune but worth every penny I have to tell you. It was a limited edition product, so unavailable at the moment, but let’s hope they bring it back for spring.

A Hungarian in Paris

It was the last week of January and we hopped on a plane and visited the city of love for a whole weekend. It’s been my third time in Paris and I have to say that I’ve never seen this city this beautiful. I loved everything about it, the smell, the weather, the clothes, the vintage stuff, the coffee, the sights, the buildings and the people as well.

We walked about 20km in two days but it flew by like a minute. We went to Notre Dame, Arc the Triumph, Museum d’Orsay, the Eiffel Tower and all the while had some amazing baguette and shopped a little bit. Here are a few pictures.

img_1916

We stayed at this pretty hotel on the 5th floor very close to Notre Dame, so we didn’t even have to go that far to see some amazing buildings.

img_1855

We had to stop by Notre Dame, because who doesn’t love The Huntchback of Notre Dame? And the song Esmeralda sings? Oh, I love it! If you by any chance don’t know it, click HERE!

We also visited the Musee of d’Orsay where we saw some amazing paintings from Van Gogh. I wore an outfit from Zara and painted the bottom of my hair grey with L’Oreal ColoRista.

img_1956

The buildings are to die for. I would live on any one of them for the rest of my life. (sigh)

img_2039

My favourite picture of the trip. So random, so perfect. And the Eiffel Tower in the background to make it too much to handle. The coat and the scarf are also from Zara (Hi, my name is Barbara and I am a Zara addict…)

img_1971

Yes, you guessed it, I went on the carousel, on a horse and I LOVED it! LOL

img_2016

If only you could see how hard it was to get on this thing to sit on… LOL

Let us not forget about the food. We had some, what we think was, salmon terrine, but it was delicious. After that I had some pasta with parmesan and cream and last but not least, the land of macaroons. Well, they were the best I ever had, so yea, I need to move here.

img_2014

Thanks for staying with my through this post! I loved sharing the pictures with you and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I loved making them. Let me know what is your favourite city in the comments!

Later babes,

A walk in Vienna in my new coat

This weekend we decided to visit my uncle who lives in Vienna. We come here quite often because of concerts in town, like Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, etc. But not this time. This time we just visited my aunt, uncle and two beautiful cousin babies, Olivia and Florian. But while we were here, we obviously took some time to take a few pictures so I can show you guys my favourite pieces for a cold but sunny winter day.

Here it is!

img_1681img_1668img_1693img_1692img_1685

I’m wearing…outfit from Zara (coat, sweater, boots, jeans, bag), Ray Ban sunglasses and matte lipstick from MAC, colour Flesh stone.

Do you have a favourite piece of clothing you wear during winter time? Let me know in the comment section!

‘Runaway’ or not?

I think I mentioned before that we shot my new music video in December in the freeeeeezing cold. But I think it will be all worth it. The video is almost done, so I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos with you, so you can see what’s going on.

img_1608

Here I’m trying to drink my wine, but somehow I cannot grab the glass…or not?

img_1609

A little positioning with the cameraman. In the pictures above I’m wearing an ANNAEVA dress, they are a Hungarian designer team and they make gorgeous lady clothes that worked perfectly for the video.

img_1174

The magic of what you actually see…

img_1211

And something you probably shoudn’t have seen… LOL Having a great hair day if I may say so…

img_1232

The support system, love them!

img_1233

My hero! Literally…

img_1255

Perfect makeup is very crucial on a shoot, but the freezing weather didn’t help much.

On the outside shoot I’m wearing a Mango trench coat over my ANNAEVA dress and a Mango winter coat with UGG boots. The makeup is MAC.

img_1259

The face I make when we’re getting closer to the end of a 16 hour day of shooting… I loved almost every minute of it. LOL

What is your favourite music video? Let me know in the comment section!

The Sale craze…

You know that feeling when you have some time to spare and you end up in Zara with tons a clothes that look amazing on you and you just have this urge to buy them all? Well it happened to me again this time… I just love to search the sales and find pieces that are great with every other clothing I own. So here are a few new items I bought over the past few weeks…and yes, I have a problem! LOL

As you can see I have a shoe problem, I just cannot resist a cute pair of shoes and if they are comfortable, well watch out!

I had these white sneakers below, but I used them so much that I kind of worn them to death, so now I decided to make them my hip-hop dancing shoes and order a new pair for the spring.

2743101001_2_3_1

The two mules are my biggest crushes this year. Last summer I already worn mules and loved them so much, so I bought 2 more. I don’t necessarily like my feet, which I know might sound weird, but true, so I love these kinds of shoes.

The furry sandals…well, I don’t think they need any explanation.

6617101040_2_2_1

This year I was obsessed with velvet and I’ve been looking at this bomber jacket for a while now and I couldn’t decide if I loved it or hated it, so obviously I needed to buy it when it was 60% off. What?! Right?

0881202703_6_1_1

Also, I’m reliving my childhood dreams while pretending to be a ballerina with shoes that I bought that you can check out in a previous post and also dressing in tulle. So here it is!

0881282687_6_1_1

Embroidered shirts, shoes and jeans are very in this season, so I purchased a pair of jeans, which I couldn’t find a picture of, and these two gorgeous statement tops that can make any outfit into a special one. Looking forward to premiering my new babies soon.

Have you bought any beloved items on this year’s winter sale? If yes, let me know in the comment section.
