Songs I love – Pop #1

So I’m not sure if all you guys know that I’m a singer and music fanatic, but I thought it was time to unleash that side of me. So I decided to share with you my fave songs regularly, so if you like to discover new music or want to know what I listen to, this is your chance! 🎼

1. Backstreet Boys – Chances

If anyone knows me even a little bit knows, that I am the biggest Backstreet Boys fan!! Ok, maybe not the biggest, but definitely up there. I have been a fan since their very first European debut (since I European I had the privilege to know them before the rest of the world). This is their new song called Chances and it will give you all the feels. It’s a perfect pop song with flawless vocals and beautiful lyrics. Don’t be shy, give it a try! You won’t regret it! 🖤

2. Rita Ora – Velvet rope

I have been a fan of Rita’s since her first album. I followed her musical journey and it’s nice to see her finally doing music and not hosting tv shows and judging X-factor… I never really understood that… but let’s focus on her new album Phoenix. We know half of the songs on the album since she released lots in singles over the last couple of years. So from the rest of the songs I picked Velvet Rope as my favorite as it had a nice rhythm and whenever I hear it, it makes me happy. And I guess that’s what music is all about, making you feel things, right?

3. Lady Gaga – Always remember us this way

The new version of A Star is Born is one of the best movies I’ve seen all year and I think it’s an instant classic. Bradley Cooper is freaking fantastic in this movie both as an actor and a director. But let’s see the music. There are many great songs in this movie, but this one has something special. One of the most unique things about the music in A Star is Born is that they recorded them live, in front of a real festival audience. And that’s probably what makes it feel like you’re watching a love concert. And that feeling always gives me chills. Make sure you check out the movie ASAP and let me know what you think in the comments.

4. Michael Bublè – Love you anymore

What can I say about Michael Bublé… there would be no Christmas without him. But this time I specifically wanted to include a song from his brand new album so we don’t forget that he has great music not just at Christmas time (although we all know we’re already bumping ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’ in our car 🎄). This was the first single off of his brand new album released in November and it’s one of those albums that give you life and happiness when you listen to it. So if you want some chicken soup for your soul (and I mean his the best way possible) then check out the new Michael Bublè.

5. Little Mix -Told you so

In case you’re not familiar with the girl group Little Mix, they’re the only group winners of the British X-factor and I was fortunate enough to see their amazing win. I really liked them even then and I’ve been following their careers after the show. They released 4 albums and this is their 5th and it’s just as good as the previous ones. It’s full of girl empowerment and individuality. This song is an anthem for friendship and I really like it because I don’t think there are lot of songs for girl friends who stick together and hold each other in tough times even though we all need that and do that for our friends. The whole album is full of upbeat fun songs and I recommend that you also listen to other songs from their previous albums.

Did you know any of these songs? Which artists’s favorite songs do you want me to share with you guys? Let me know in the comments!

Another week in LA

So maybe it won’t be a weekly blog as there are so many things happening that I literally didn’t have time to write this. So I’m just gonna some up all the greatness that went on over the last two weeks.

First off I want to talk about Universal CityWalk. There is a whole area of Los Angeles dedicated to films, shocked, right? And this is where you go through to go to Universal Studios which is a theme park. But for people who don’t want to go to the same park, they can just walk around and see all kinds of billboards, stores and everything. So we decided to walk around and we stumbled upon this amazing wall so… Obviously I had to take a picture. 😊

On our walk we stumbled upon a line of people which is very common in the US. I don’t know why but people like to line up for things… which might be weird but when you see it you just want to get in that line to see what’s up! 😂 so with did! And the line was for a drink called Mini Monster. It was advertised as a dessert drink but you could also get flavored lemonade. When you wanted a dessert drink you got the lemonade and on top of it you got a huge cotton candy cloud thing with sprinkles on it. It looked like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I only got the guts to try a simple lemonade though. 🙊 here it is!

Another day we went to see the Whitney movie about her life called can I be me? Went to this small art cinema to watch it and on the way we found a pretty cool street, so obviously, another photo op.

Last time I told you that I am a musician as well and I took time to meet with Bruce, who is a great podcaster from Florida. Now here this entertainment, that’s the name is of podcast, did an interview with me about two years ago and you can listen to it here.

This summer season stripes were so popular that I had to get a dress from ZARA before I left for LA. Not that I didn’t have like a dozen striped shirts already but you know, an addiction is an addiction… 😂

As you may know I’m not a summer person, so it’s even more fun that I get to be in LA for the worst heat wave in decades. It’s 40°C for those of you who know what that means you know that it’s crazy hot. So that’s one of the reasons why you don’t see my face and my make up because it just melts right off my face so most of the time I don’t even put on any. But there are a few places where you can hide out until the heat wave is gone, and other than air-conditioned malls and your car you can always go to the beach. I guess that’s not too shabby. So you know what comes next! Yes, a photo opportunity by the beach.  😂💦 so we got in the car got ourselves some nice sushi and went straight to Venice Beach to cool off.

And then Sunday night came. Those of you who are music fans know that the Video Music Awards are almost as important as the Grammys and the Brits. So we decided to check out a VMA after party in downtown LA. There were so many cool people from the music and movie scene mingling and networking and giving out business cards. I also got to experience my very first red carpet. I never thought that this was so intimidating. We have like 10/ 15 seconds to look great and pose and smile and make an impression. I tried my best but I have to admit I felt like I’m on another planet. Here’s a side picture of my red carpet moment.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, after we decided that the night was over for us we got hungry and we heard about this place, Pink’s hotdogs which is a very famous hot dog stand in Hollywood. It’s famous for the fact that whenever you go there, there’s always a line… and it’s true! There it was! And I have to admit I’m not a big hot dog person but this chili cheese dog was one of the best things that I ate here! Hats off to Pink’s hotdogs!

Have you seen Forrest Gump? What am I saying, of course you did, everyone saw that movie, it’s iconic! So in the US there’s a place, an actual restaurant called Bubba Gump and they obviously serve many kinds of seafood. And there’s one restaurant at the Santa Monica Pier which we love because of the beautiful view. So on our last day before my love had to go home, we went there and ate some great fish and chips. And you know, Americans know how to entertain and make things exciting, so that’s what they did with Bubba Gump. The whole restaurant is decorated with Forrest Gump memorabilia, quotes from the movie, pictures and there’s even a bench outside of the restaurant. I think it’s so great that when you come to the US you get what you expected or even more. ❤️

I hope you enjoyed this post and I know they are not so much about fashion, but you probably know that most of my outfits are from ZARA anyways. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ But let me know what you think and how you like this post and if you want to hear more about fashion or whatever you want to read about. ‘Runaway’ or not?

I think I mentioned before that we shot my new music video in December in the freeeeeezing cold. But I think it will be all worth it. The video is almost done, so I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos with you, so you can see what’s going on.

Here I’m trying to drink my wine, but somehow I cannot grab the glass…or not?

img_1609

A little positioning with the cameraman. In the pictures above I’m wearing an ANNAEVA dress, they are a Hungarian designer team and they make gorgeous lady clothes that worked perfectly for the video.

The magic of what you actually see…

And something you probably shoudn’t have seen… LOL Having a great hair day if I may say so…

The support system, love them!

My hero! Literally…

Perfect makeup is very crucial on a shoot, but the freezing weather didn’t help much.

On the outside shoot I’m wearing a Mango trench coat over my ANNAEVA dress and a Mango winter coat with UGG boots. The makeup is MAC.

The face I make when we’re getting closer to the end of a 16 hour day of shooting… I loved almost every minute of it. LOL

This is how we move!

You might have noticed that I love music and not just making it but listening to is and dancing to it as well. Recently I had the privilege to help out on a music video shoot for a song called ‘How we move’ for the great glitch hop artist AK Sediki.

There was a latin dancer, twerk dancer, pop lock dancer (who happens to be my dance teacher! What a talent that guy is!), belly dancer and even a Storm trooper. Yes, you read that right!

Here are a couple of fun videos I made on the shoot, but don’t forget to check out the final video HERE! Let me know how you like this amazing song and make sure you MOVE!
